Books in English: These books are the first which uses dermatologic classification terms (papules, nodules….) still used to this day.

Books in French: Dermatologic classification systems was elaborated in England largely based on Austria’s Joseph Plenck’s first attempt but a lot of the development of dermatology in the 19th century was in France. The hôpital Saint-Louis in Paris was the world’s first training centre and was first headed by the Baron Jean-Louis Alibert.
