Warts and Molluscum Contagiosum: How they were shown NOT to be bacterial in origin
Doctors (physicians) and even more dermatologists are few and far between in Africa. Dermatological diseases are as frequent here as elsewhere and this project aims to diminish this deficiency in Africa, but also to diminish the relative excess in the developed world.
This platform results from the collaboration between:
- AAD: American Academy of Dermatology
- Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation, Uganda
- BIPAI: Baylor International Pediatric AIDS initiative, USA
- KEF: Kommission für Entwicklungsfragen, Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften. Osterreich
- Makerere University, Uganda
- Mbarara Univesity of Science and Technology, Uganda
- Universität Graz, Osterreich
- University of Botswana, Botswana
- University of Pennsylvania, USA
- University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia
This application will result in the improvement of diagnosis and management of dermatological conditions and contribute to the reduction of the gap between the countries of the North and those of the South.
